Full Steam Ahead!

It has been a big weekend.
I feel like my mind has been on full steam ahead, express to central, no stops along the way.
And while Id love to share snap shots from the journey, all I can manage at this stage is something which was definitely a cause for change in direction, even if it was not necessarily the destination (as Im still not 100% sure what the destination was, though im thinking it might so simply and beautifully be growth...):

"The law of the LORD is perfect,
reviving the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant,
giving light to the eyes."
Psalm 19:7-8

As I sat in church after a few weeks of being away; as I heard a sermon on Psalm 19; and as I continued through the day getting stuck into the Word in various ways, I could actually feel my soul being revived. Joy was brought to my heart. And light certainly brought to my eyes.
Praise God, for He speaks to us, in creation and the Bible, and when we really listen amazing things can happen!
...now I just gotta work out why i continually need to be reminded of that...keep reading the Bible Chelsea, come on, every day, keep going....for life is just not the same when it is neglected!!

I'm baaack....and ready to snooze...

Its been a busy past few weeks. I feel like there is a lot to say and a lot to blog but I cant do it all now...so i thought id give you a bit fof a highlights packages instead...

- cooked on Senior High HouseParty - first time cooking on a camp, learnt alot, great experience. It was tiring and challenging, but im glad i did it. And to top it all off, it was very encouraging to catch up with some of the girls i used to lead, seeing how they have grown in faith and just seeing them getting into reading the Bible is awesome!
-Live Earth Concert - good seats, good company, free tickets, great music, a lot of eating...all in all a great day! Fave gigs were Missy Higgins, John Butler Trio, Jack Johnson, and Crowded House! There is something pretty cool about having a whole stadium singing the words along with Neil Finn! And although a little disappointing it was cool to see Toni Collete live too! Photos from this event to come so stay tuned! (And to hear more about the exciting discoveries and adventures at Live Earth see JT's blog soon...)
- St Judes Dural - JT's old church - very cool to visit the place he grew up, hear some faithful and challenging teaching from Dave, and be led in worship by some amazing singers from the US of A! Quite a different experience to Christ Church, but a very positive one indeed! :)
- Blue Mountains - freezing and raining on day 1 meant it was time to crank up the fire, get out the tea & chocolate, and put on a dvd....'The Notebook' of course! Day two brought much better weather and thus a stroll through the mountains around the 3 sisters... heres a pic of one of the lovely waterfalls we came across..- TC Treestump - an enjoyable though challenging 5 days away with the kids i lead and the team i lead with, hearing great talks from Daniel, getting stuck into what Jesus has to say in the Sermon on the Mount, giving kids the chance to ask big questions and experience Christain fellowship, and giving them some fun and crazy activities along the way. Though there were some hard times this week, God is good and works in ways we can never fathom, its awesome to be a part of His work in this world and to see kids grow in relationship with Him!
